Expertise & Area of Interest:
South Asia:
Regional stability and security, conflict resolution, specialization on Kashmir, and Sri Lanka. Intra-state conflicts, domestic politics, autonomy and secessionist movements, human/security, development and gender issues in the region.

Participated in the first International Relations Conference titled, "The State of International Relations in Pakistan", organized by the Department of International Relations, University of Karachi in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission and the Hanns Seidel Foundation, Islamabad at the University of Karachi on 26-27, March 2008. Paper presented on Importance of "Area Studies and International Relations: The Role of Regional Studies".
2. Participated in International seminar on "Humanitarian Intervention in Fragile States", organized by Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies (BIPSS) in collaboration with International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), 10 January 2008. Paper presented on "Humanitarian Intervention in a Fragile State: A Case Study of Indian Intervention in Sri Lanka".
