Junior Research Fellow: Noreen Iftakhar

Noreen Iftakhar works as a junior research fellow at South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI) Pakistan. She has completed her Masters in Defense and Diplomatic Studies (2007) from Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Her dissertation was Indo-Afghan Nexus Post 9/11: Implications for Pakistan. She has secured First Position and Awarded Gold Medal from Fatima Jinnah Women University in Masters of Defense and Diplomatic Studies in 2007 and Secured Second Position in Islamic Studies and awarded merit certificate from Government Viqar-un-Nisa College for Women Rawalpindi in 2004. Besides it, she has participated in number of conferences and seminars like National Round of Jean Pictet/ Henry Dunant Competition at International Committee of the Red Cross, Pakistan in 2006, LUMS Model United Nations Society 2006, “3rd workshop of Youth in Governance 2007” organized by Transparency International in GIK, “First Youth in Governance (YinG) Essay Competition”, organized by Transparency International Pakistan, 2007. The researcher has been attached as internee at Press Information Department (PID) of Government of Pakistan and has also done community work for approximately 20 credit hours for the uplift and progressive development of the community in Pakistan.
