Junior Research Fellow: Amir Ali Hamza

Amir Ali Khan works as a junior research fellow at South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI), Islamabad, Pakistan.

Working on “Multilateral Fuel Cycle: Question of De-fecto Nuclear States”.

Beside he is also doing his M.Phil, from the Department of Defense and Strategic Studies, Quaid-I-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan. He has done his Masters from the same department in Jan 2007, his area of research in M.Sc. was Afghanistan and he has written his research paper on “Challenges to the Reconstruction of Afghanistan”.

Previously he has done his graduation from Islamia College Peshawar, with major subjects of Political Science and International Relations. He has worked as a Volunteer during Afghan Crises after US attack on Afghanistan. He is interested in research related to Arms Control and Disarmament, Russian Strategic Policies in post 9/11 era, and peaceful uses of Nuclear Energy. He is also focusing on the Western borders and the emerging threat scenarios, (Afghanistan and the adjacent Tribal belt under study).

He actively participates in Simulation exercises based on different threat scenarios, and is determined to carry out the challenging task of research, related to Strategic Matters with passion and devotion to broaden his knowledge and formulate a rational based approach to these matters.
